Tehran Declares It Might Return to American Atomic Negotiations if Handled with 'Dignity' and 'Respect'

Iran is willing to restart nuclear negotiations with the United States as long as it is handled with "dignity" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has declared.

The Iranian diplomat declared solely negotiations worked, and disclosed new appeals had come from go-betweens to resume negotiations with the Trump administration. He said Iran had zero unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran was not yet able to allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit attacked atomic facilities for protective measures.

Walking a Complex Path

Araghchi is navigating a complex route since Iran aims to avoid be perceived to be operating from a situation of disadvantage, and he consistently maintained that Iran had emerged stronger defensively and psychologically from the Israeli-US attack on its enrichment centers in June.

He was speaking at a defense forum in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to refine atomic fuel within its borders that it will perpetually retain" – the key factor of the deadlock in the previous talks.

Earlier Negotiations Unexpectedly Terminated

The earlier sessions of talks between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and acrimonious end on 12 June when Israel, with Washington's assistance, targeted Tehran's atomic facilities in a 12-day war that ended with Donald Trump claiming the facilities had been eliminated. Afterward, European countries used their privilege to reimpose UN-wide sanctions, but Iran asserts they have not had a major impact.

Perfect Agreement Proposed

Iranian officials stated they felt they had attained a "perfect agreement" to the uranium processing matter in previous talks, when it was agreed an local partnership with American involvement could process nuclear material. The two nations would have been able to claim victory since home-based processing would have persisted and the US could be confident that Iran's atomic project was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been agreed in the negotiations that American atomic experts could work on Iranian soil, but that was a reasonable assumption of the consortium proposal. Diplomats asserted repeatedly they had secured an understanding with Washington's diplomat Steve Witkoff only for the deal to fall apart due to "spoilers in Washington".

Existing Position

Iran's diplomats said the partnership proposal was now no longer available, but it seems highly likely the suggestion could be revived in certain ways if negotiations reopen.

The US president in recent days said he had been obtaining communications that Iran desired to reopen negotiations, but privately Tehran representatives say they are not yet receiving clear proposals from the United States either directly or from significant local go-betweens, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, the Omani authorities and the Saudi kingdom. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been accused of non-responsiveness in the face of Washington's unmediated tactics, but Iran states negotiations is not part of a spectacle.

Negotiating Stance

In his address to the conference, intended to paint the US as a dominant force that misuses the notion of worldwide standards, Araghchi declared the 12-day war showed the dispute could not be resolved by military means. He asserted the attacks began with a Washington's ultimatum for an complete Tehran capitulation and concluded with an absolute demand for a ceasefire.

Iran is convinced the initial Israeli attacks were carried out with total Washington understanding and coordination, making faith hard to restore.

Negotiations Continues the Final Answer

The foreign minister declared: "Tehran was not the one that had fled negotiations; it was America and the European states that had consistently attempted to impose their desires during the negotiations. Dialogue can still be viable and stays the ultimate answer to settle conflicts, but its criteria, guidelines and principles must be respected."

"In case they address to the citizens of Tehran with the language of respect and honor, they will obtain a response in the same language."

Recovery and Rebuilding

In what is described by Tehran representatives as the conflict of recovery and recovery, the foreign minister claimed he was assured Iran's defence capabilities "are much stronger than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been restored. We gained many lessons from this engagement; we have come to know our internal vulnerabilities and the shortcomings of the adversary."

He added: "We effectively endured this engagement. Our nuclear technology, which they planned to obliterate, continues to exist. The facilities and equipment, if eliminated, will be rebuilt; what is crucial is the resolve of the Iranian people and then the national cohesion that they aimed at, but failed to destroy. The nation of Iran have developed stronger, more united, and more supportive of the administration and the state in the aftermath of this invasion."
